About Then & There

Then & There is a historical guessing game. Players study reconstructed historical scenes, guess the year and location, and receive scores based on accuracy.

Accounts

You may play without an account, but account features allow you to save Daily Challenge scores, streaks, leaderboard entries, highscores and your personal chronicle.

You are responsible for choosing an appropriate display name or username. We may remove or change usernames that are offensive, misleading, impersonating others or otherwise unsuitable.

Fair use of the game

You must not:

• attempt to cheat, manipulate scores or exploit bugs;
• interfere with the website or its infrastructure;
• scrape, copy or bulk extract game content;
• submit abusive, unlawful or harmful content;
• use the game in a way that harms other players.

Historical content

The scenes are historical reconstructions designed for gameplay and learning. They may include interpretation, approximation or AI-generated visual elements. We aim for accuracy, but we cannot guarantee every detail is perfect.

If you spot an issue, use the Report Inaccuracy option so it can be reviewed.

Availability and changes

We may update, change, remove or pause parts of the game at any time, including scenes, scoring, accounts, leaderboards, modes and features.

Intellectual property

The Then & There name, design, game structure, scene content, prompts, copy and visual presentation belong to Then & There or its licensors. You may share your own results, but you may not copy or reuse the game content as a competing product.

Limitation of liability

The game is provided for entertainment and educational purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from your use of the game, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
